Who Is The Better Driver: San Antonio Car Insurance Companies Have The Answer
This discussion has been going on since the day more and more women started to drive. How many times have you heard someone say: “must be a woman driver” when you see someone do something stupid, park in 2 posts instead of 1 or when you see someone speed by most of us assume is a man.
Nobody will ever agree on this question it’s like trying to convince someone your football team is better than theirs. But the only one who has an educated answer based on research and data is an San Antonio car insurance company and they have an answer to this question most men will not be happy with. This article will explain some on the reasons behind the insurance companies answer:
MAN VS WOMAN: WHO IS THE BETTER DRIVER?
For years, it has been said that men are better drivers than women. Despite the lack of any real proof, there are some men out there that would honestly admit that their wives or girlfriends are better drivers than they are.
So, which of the two is more likely to get a traffic violation ticket? Or to be in a fatal accident? When we put things that way, even the most proud male driver may need to pause for a moment and think.
Auto insurance companies have already made up their minds on the matter, and they have lots of data to back it up. Young males have riskier driving habits than young females. Men between 16 and 25 years of age are much more likely to be involved in an accident, or to be cited for a traffic violation. Insurance companies bear this kind of information in mind when quoting their rates.
Also, men have a 77% higher risk of dying in an accident when compared to women. The total number of deaths between the years of 1999 and 2005 were 175,094 for men and 82,371 women. 14,512 male drivers died in 2007. In the same year only 5,865 female drivers had the same fate. Even though there tend to be more male drivers out there on the road than females, the numbers still speak against men.
Males aged 20 to 24 years were more likely to die in an accident, while females aged 16 to 19 years were slightly more likely to be killed than females 20 to 24 years. Many auto insurance experts agree with the theory that males, especially the young ones, tend to drive more aggressively than women. And these men display their aggression in a direct manner, rather than indirectly. Experts also agree that male drivers break the law more frequently, and take more risks when driving.
Although younger drivers pay more for their car insurance, it’s not always their driving habits that make the difference. Many other things are taken into consideration by insurance companies, and not always in a bad way.
Not every insurance company evaluates the risks in exactly the same way, what makes it even more important for younger drivers of both genders, to compare their rates before buying a policy. There could be a considerable difference in premium between different companies.
The argument, of course, will continue. But as far as car insurance companies are concerned, young men are the worst drivers. And insurance companies rates are different for a man driver and a female driver, looking over the key factors, I guess speed is the reason, why insurance company’s rates are high for man drivers then female drivers. Insurance companies define various factors behind this theory. Although there are certain companies who got same rates for both man drivers and female drivers. But most of them have different rates for them. Whatever it is, insurance companies proves that female are good drivers isn’t it?
